Porto Arabia is by far the largest of the marinas. It will have a residential population of 15,000 in high rise apartments and townhouses overlooking the marina and boardwalk.
Porto Arabia will support over 500 vessels ranging in size from 10m to 60m.
The number of berths planned are as follows:
- Super yachts 30m-60m: 55 berths
- Boat size 10m-25m: 453 berths
The marina itself will be dredged to a depth of -4.00m. In the southern quadrant and the marina approach channel, this will be increased to - 5.5m to accommodate super yachts.
FACILITIES
- There will be a fuelling berth at the entrance to the marina and pump out facilities in each the marina locations around the bay.
- Super yachts will be able to connect directly into the vacuum sewage system at their individual berth.
- Changing rooms and shower facilities locations for visiting yachtsmen will be located at the strategic points [U1] , as well as taxi services and ferry services to Doha City and directly to the international Airport [U2].
- The Harbour Master will be located in the principal marina of Porto Arabia.
